A Joyful Destination Wedding at Arriba by the Sea | Lauren & Aaron

Some weddings leave a lasting impression long after the candles have burned out and the dance floor has

emptied, and Lauren and Aaron’s beautiful celebration at Arriba by the Sea was most definitely one of those days.

From our very first conversations, I knew these two were something special. Kind, thoughtful and so genuinely excited to celebrate with their favourite people, they brought such warmth and joy to every part of the day. Being entrusted as their day-of coordinator in Portugal was an absolute pleasure, and I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier couple.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Arriba by the Sea, their wedding was everything I love about destination weddings in Portugal, emotional, joyful and full of love.

Happy Tears, Big Smiles and So Much Love

As guests arrived and took in the incredible ocean views, there was a real buzz in the air. Friends and family had travelled from near and far to celebrate Lauren and Aaron, and you could feel just how excited everyone was to be together.

Their ceremony had all the ingredients for a perfect love story: heartfelt vows, happy tears, plenty of laughter and those beautiful moments where you look around and realise everyone is smiling.

Watching these two say “I do” surrounded by so much love was incredibly special.

Because Wedding Days Rarely Go Exactly to Plan…

And honestly, that’s okay. One thing I’ve learned after many weddings is that perfection isn’t about everything going exactly as planned. It’s about having the right people around you to quietly handle the unexpected so you never have to worry.

On the day, there was a small hiccup with the flowers for the dinner tables. What arrived wasn’t quite what Lauren had envisioned, and with guests enjoying cocktail hour, there wasn’t exactly time for panic.

So while everyone was sipping champagne and enjoying the views, I stepped in behind the scenes, worked with what we had and found a solution that brought everything together beautifully.

By the time guests entered the reception, the space looked elegant, cohesive and exactly as it should have felt. Most importantly? Lauren was happy. And honestly, seeing a relaxed and smiling bride is always worth its weight in gold.

From Sunset Cocktails to Dancing Under the Stars

The rest of the day unfolded beautifully. Cocktails flowed. The speeches brought both tears and laughter.

Dinner was filled with conversation and clinking glasses. And as the Portuguese sky turned from blue to golden and eventually to night, everyone gathered together to celebrate these two wonderful humans. There was joy.

And there were those moments that remind you why weddings are so special in the first place.

Not because they’re perfect. But because they’re real. Waving Goodbye to the Sweetest Couple

As the evening came to an end and guests slowly drifted home after a day filled with love and laughter, we finally waved goodbye to Lauren and Aaron as newlyweds.

And if there was one thing that stood out above all else, it was just how deeply loved they are.

Lauren and Aaron, thank you for trusting me to be part of such a meaningful day. It was an honour to support you, celebrate alongside you and make sure everything ran smoothly behind the

scenes so that you could focus on what mattered most: being fully present with the people you love.

I have no doubt your future together will be every bit as joyful, fun and full of love as your wedding day.
